Yudhra’s box office collection on its opening day showed a solid start at the domestic box office. According to Sacnilk.com, the film raked in nearly Rs 5 crore on Friday. It is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and Sudha Anukta.
The film earned Rs 4.50 crore nett in India, based on early estimates. Yudhra had a 46.54% occupancy rate for Hindi shows on Friday. This action movie marks Siddhant Chaturvedi’s first solo lead role. Thanks to National Cinema Day, ticket prices were just Rs 99. Malavika Mohanan stars as Nikhat, and Raghav Juyal plays the menacing villain, Shafiq. Directed by Ravi Udyawar, Yudhra offers a thrilling blend of action and storytelling.
News18 Showsha gave the film three stars. An excerpt from the review read, “The film’s standout point is its action choreography. The fight sequences are brutal, fast-paced, and visually arresting. From hand-to-hand combat to elaborate set pieces, Yudhra is a decent visual treat for action lovers, who are not looking for a good storyline. While Yudhra delivers on action and has a few stylish and new sequences, the plot lacks depth, relying on familiar storylines. Despite the somewhat predictable narrative, the film remains an entertaining watch, especially for those who enjoy fast-paced action thrillers with a touch of romance.”
The sizzling chemistry between Siddhant Chaturvedi and Malavika Mohanan in the Yudhra caught the attention of many. The song Saathiya, released earlier this month, offers a glimpse of their scintillating love story. In the video, the actors were seen romancing and cozying up to each other against the backdrop of the pristine ocean. In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, Malavika had opened up about shooting the intimate scenes with Siddhant and reiterates how filming them is no easy task.
She said, “It’s not easy to crack intimacy and be comfortable with it. Nowadays, they have intimacy coordinators on set, which is a very good thing. It’s important to know boundaries. The process of intimacy isn’t as simple as just doing it. Coordinators are making it easier.”
