Ashish Vidyarthi left everyone surprised when he announced his second marriage with entrepreneur Rupali Barua at the age of 57. They tied the knot on May this year. They had a court marriage, and it was an intimate ceremony attended by their immediate family and close friends. Ever since their wedding, the couple have been trolled and faced a lot of negativity.
Months after the wedding, Ashish and Rupali opened up on the trolls and the negative comments they faced on social media. In conversation with Behindwoods TV, the duo was asked what they went through, when they read those negative comments. Rupali said, “I did not give a damn to it because those people I don’t know. They have seen something that is very un-obvious, for normal people. Because they don’t know about it.” She also added that they won’t go out there and give clarity. She said, “It didn’t affect me so much because I didn’t read the comments so much. My close ones are supporting me, I don’t need any other validation.”
Ashish Vidyarthi added, “Two things with love and affection- you don’t need to prove a point. We both were not out there to prove any point. No upset, no anger, but do something that makes you happy.”
Rupali also added, “Being given this opportunity by the universe is a big thing. Any other thing is small. I know what I have been missing. To find a companion at this age is a blessing. That blessing is so big that everything else, the negativity is blurred.”
Ashish Vidyarthi has worked in over 300 films in 11 languages. The accomplished actor has showcased his talent in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, English, Odia, Marathi, and Bengali cinema. He embarked on his acting career in 1986 and has since carved a prominent niche for himself.
