Bollywood actress Sagarika Ghatge is celebrating her 38th birthday today. On this special occasion, let’s take a look at her life and career. Sagarika was born to Vijasinh and Urmila Ghatge in one of the royal families of Kolhapur. Shahu Maharaj of Kolhapur is the forefather of Sagarika. Her father is a member of the royal family of Kagal. The actress’ grandmother is Sita Raje Ghatge, Indore’s Maharaja Tukojirao Holkar III’s daughter. She made her debut alongside superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the film Chak De! India, directed by Shimit Amin. Sagarika essayed the role of Preety Sabharwal and shot to fame with this hit film. For her outstanding performance, Sagarika also received the Screen Award for Best Supporting Actress. On the personal front, she tied the nuptial knot with former cricketer Zaheer Khan on November 23, 2017.
Sagarika and Zaheer’s love story is no less than a fairy tale. Zaheer was introduced to Sagarika after his breakup with actress Isha Sharvani. It received disappointing reviews from the critics and audience. Footfairy received criticism for its weak storyline, dialogues, and many loopholes in the technical aspects. This film, based on the superhit Korean film Memories of Murder, is currently streaming on Netflix and Zee 5.
