Shah Rukh Khan has been one of the most bankable actors in the industry this year. He has been giving back-to-back hits—Pathaan and Jawan and is now gearing up for his third release, Dunki, this year. Well, as he inches close to the release, his film Jawan has been nominated for the highly coveted Best International Film category at ASTRA Awards 2024. The news has created excitement among fans.

Hollywood Creative Alliance shared the list of nominations, collected from across the world. Jawan joins Barbie, Oppenheimer, Killer of the Flower Moon, John Wick, Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse, and several other box office hits on the list. Jawan got nominated in the best feature category at ASTRA Awards 2024 from India, along with Anatomy of a Fall (France), Concrete Utopia (South Korea), Fallen Leaves (Finland), Perfect Days (Japan), Radical (Mexico), Society of the Snow (Spain), The Taste of Things (France), The Teacher’s Lounge (Germany), and The Zone of Interest (United Kingdom).

Jawan revolves around a vigilante out to seek revenge from corrupt ministers and a businessman because of whom, women landed in jail. The film features Shah Rukh Khan in a double role — a soldier named Vikram Rathore and his son, a jailer, named Azad. Deepika and Nayanthara play his respective love interests in the film. Jawan’s ending has teased the possibility of a sequel.

Talking about Dunki, the film is releasing on December 21 and also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal among others. The film trailer has been getting a lot of love from fans.
