While the previous movie was the original story of Brie Larson's Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, the new one is set to dive deeper to explore more complexities surrounding her life.

The countdown has begun as actress Brie Larson is bracing to experience her enthusiastic return in The Marvels. The makers of the MCU film have teased her comeback in a brand-new trailer along with the release date of the upcoming movie. While the previous movie was the original story of Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, the new one is set to dive deeper to explore the complexities surrounding her life. The Marvels is touted to dig into the faulty parts of Carol indicating that even heroes sometimes tend to make wrong decisions. The superhero flick that sees Brie reprising her role also features Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau.

An astronaut for SABER who works closely with Nick Fury, Teyonah was introduced in the MCU in the Disney+ series WandaVision. She is also joined by Iman Vellani, who took on the role of Kamala Khan in Ms Marvel. The trio coming together for an action-packed adventure completes the premise of the new film. The plot revolves around the investigation of a wormhole that connects Monica Rambeau’s powers with Carol Danvers and Kamala Khan. The trio join forces to determine the cause as to why they end up swapping places each time while using their superpowers.

The new teaser shared by the makers opens to show a fierce entry of Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel riddled with what seems to be rage and fury. With Samuel Jackson’s SHIELD director Nick Fury commanding the troops, the female leads are seen unlocking their powers to a whole new level as threat looms all around them. Be it bombing aircraft or detonating missiles, the short glimpse gives fans a glimpse of the ferocious combat sequences the movie entails. Meanwhile, Fury’s savvy dialogue “Show them what you got" only takes the excitement level a notch higher. Catch a glimpse of the footage here:

Helmed by Nia DaCosta, The Marvels will line up to be the 33rd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Besides the gripping storyline, The Marvels will also mark the MCU debut of Korean actor Park Seo-Joon, who is known for his roles in K-dramas Fight For My Way, Itaewon Class, What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim, and many more. The Marvels is scheduled to hit the big screens on November 10.
