When Fawad Khan REFUSED To Kiss Alia Bhatt During Kapoor & Sons: 'I Started Losing...'
While promoting his 2014 movie Khoobsurat, Fawad Khan had revealed why he refrains himself from doing kissing scenes.

Pakistani actor Fawad Khan enjoys a massive fan following in India has has worked in several films including Khoobsurat, Kapoor & Sons and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. However, did you know that the actor had reportedly refused to kiss his co-stars on camera? Yes, you read it right. While Fawad refused to kiss Alia Bhatt during the shoot of their 2016 movie Kapoor & Sons, he also refrained from kissing Sonam Kapoor during Khoobsurat.

When Alia Bhatt Revealed She Had a Kissing Scene With Fawad Khan

In an interview with Deccan Chronicle in 2017, Alia Bhatt revealed that there was a kissing scene between her and Fawad in Kapoor & Sons but the latter refused to do it. “There was a kiss in the film with Fawad. When we did the scene, it was decided that we would cheat-kiss. Still, every time I would go near his face, he would flinch. I had to keep reassuring him I wouldn’t compromise his chastity,” she said.

When Fawad Khan Explained His No-Kiss Policy 

While promoting his 2014 movie Khoobsurat, Fawad Khan also revealed why he refrains himself from doing kissing scenes. He explained that he did not want to hurt his fans’ sentiments. “I think I need to respect their feelings. A lot of my audience would be quite offended if I suddenly started losing my inhibitions,” he said.

From across the border, Fawad Khan starred in two big Dharma Productions movies – Kapoor & Sons and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. However, he hasn’t worked in any Indian film for a long time now. Back in September 2016, the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) passed a resolution to ban Pakistani actors from the industry following the Uri attack.

However, last month, the Bombay High Court dismissed a petition that had called for a complete ban on Indian citizens, companies, and associations from collaborating with Pakistani artists, such as actors, singers, musicians, lyricists, and technicians. The court emphasised that patriotism should not breed hostility but rather should promote unity and cultural exchanges.
