Yami Gautam Beams With Happiness After She Wraps Up 'Most Important Film' Of Her Career; See Viral Post

Yami Gautam enjoyed a good run in 2022 with two of her films earning praise for her performances by the critics and the audience. While the first film Dasvi has shown the actress essaying the role of an IPS officer alongside Abhishek Bachchan and Ninrat Kaur, her second film ‘A Thursday’ was a vigilante thriller film in which she played a playschool teacher who takes 16 students hostage. Even in 2023, Yami impressed all with Pankaj Tripathi, Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2. Now the actress has finished shooting for another project which she claims is the ‘most important film’ of her career.

On Friday, Yami Gautam took to her X(formerly Twitter) handle and shared a picture of herself, holding a gold brown maple leaf close to her face. She smiled for the camera as the sunlight accentuated her minimal makeup look. She wrote, “Wrapped up one of the most important films of my career! Thank you to the entire Direction, Production team and our wonderful crew at #B62Studios ❤️ Thank you to the local people, security forces and authorities in Kashmir who took such brilliant care of us throughout the schedule Also had the great fortune of taking blessings of the divine Mata Kheer Bhawani at Tulmulla. Hope we are able to entertain our audience to the fullest with this mammoth of a film. Announcement soon ”

Only a few days back, speaking about her character, a source revealed to us, “Yami is currently shooting for her next project, which she is also headlining. It’s a very performance driven character which is already touted to be career defining for her. The untitled film is currently on the shooting stage, and the details will be announced in due course.”

While the details of the character are certainly kept under wraps, it will rather be interesting to watch Yami treat audiences with another towering performance at the theatres. This is undeniably the golden phase for the actress’s career, and it is even a fortunate moment for her that, with back-to-back successes, the actress is receiving strong content-oriented films in her way.

After the release of OMG 2, a fan took to social media and praised the actress’ performance. The user wrote, “It’s amazing how every time Yami Gautam manages to SURPRISE us with her performance! #OMG2 is no exception. She owns every frame she’s in! Even her silence speaks a lot. I hate the term ‘underrated’. I’d just say she’s under-utilised by our filmmakers.”

Reacting to the same, the actress told Hindustan Times, “I do feel there has been a very permanent shift with the kind of films coming my way. I know the person was trying to give me a compliment and I thanked him. It may have been true at some point in time, you know. But that doesn’t change me at all. This is the only way I will ever talk to the media, like right now, I have always talked about my film. I have never asked to write anything about me to make me feel better or bigger than what I have done.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Yami will also be seen in Dhoom Dhaam.
