The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras has extended the registration deadline for the IIT JAM 2024 examinations. Registrations were initially set to close on October 20, but have now been extended to October 25. Candidates who meet the criteria for admission and have not yet completed their IIT JAM 2024 registration and application procedure can do so by visiting the official website jam.iitm.ac.in.
To register for the entrance tests, candidates must go to the official website and submit all necessary information. Candidates will be unable to submit JAM 2024 applications until they complete the registration procedure. Additionally, students must be cognizant that the online application form must be submitted along with the JAM 2024 application fee.
The IIT JAM 2024 is scheduled for February 11, and admit cards will be issued on January 8. The test is designed for students interested in pursuing MSc, MTech, or PhD degrees at prominent Indian universities such as IITs, NITs, and ISCs. To be considered for JAM 2024, candidates must have finished their UG studies or be in the final year of an undergraduate programme. Foreign citizens with degrees from Indian educational institutions are also allowed to submit their applications.

IIT JAM 2024: APPLICATION FEES
For candidates in the female, SC, ST, and PwD categories, the JAM 2024 application fee for one paper has been set at Rs 900, while the fee for two papers is Rs 1250, according to the official brochure on the website. The application fee for applicants from the remaining categories is Rs 1800 for one paper and Rs 2500 for two papers.
IIT JAM 2024: SELECTION PROCESS
The JAM 2024 will be administered by computer-based testing (CBT), with seven distinct test papers across two shifts. The first shift for Chemistry, Geology, and Mathematics papers will be from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM. The second shift, for papers spanning mathematical statistics, biotechnology, economics, and physics, will run from 2:30 to 5:00 PM.
