India will be facing Australia in the fourth T20I of their ongoing bilateral series on Friday. Two games into the five-match series, India had gained an early advantage with back-to-back victories. They looked to close out the series early but things did not go their way in the third T20I.
India had a phenomenal start that saw Ruturaj Gaikwad score a jaw-dropping 123 runs in 57 balls. The youngster smashed 13 boundaries in that match alongside seven sixes. His heroics were enough to put up a total of 222 runs at the end of the innings but it just didn’t prove to be enough.
Australia had their backs to the wall as they headed into their third game of the ongoing series. With a massive 222-run total on board, everything seemed to be over for the Aussies. However, Glenn Maxwell seemed to disagree with the situation as he stepped up to smash a whopping 104 runs in 48 balls. He was assisted towards the end of the match by Matthew Wade who added another 28 runs on the board to secure a five-wicket victory.
Now, the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium will host the fourth T20I game between India and Australia on December 1.
