The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) 2024 session 1 registration process today, December 4. Candidates who are eligible and interested in applying for JEE Main 2024 can do so by registering themselves on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The application correction window will remain open from December 6 to 8. Candidates can remove or add any selected paper/s during the correction window period, but the fee for the removed paper will not be refunded, the NTA has stated. The admit card for JEE Main 2024 session 1 will made available three days before the exam. It will be held from January 24 to February 1 and the result will be declared on February 12.

There will be two papers in JEE Main 2024: paper 1 and paper 2. While paper 1 is held for entrance to BE and BTech programmes at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and other institutions or universities, paper 2 is conducted for admission to BArch and BPlanning courses.

— Scanned image of the signature of the candidate.

— Scanned image of passport-size photo.

— Category certificate (if applicable).

— Person with Disabilities (PWD) certificate (if applicable).

— Identity proof like an Aadhaar card, bank passbook photo, or ration card.

JEE Main 2024: How to Apply

Step 1: Go to the official website — jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Step 2: Select the registration link for JEE Main 2024 session 1 from the homepage.

Step 3: Fill out the registration form and click the Submit button.

Step 4: Pay the application fees.

Step 5: Download the registration form and take a print out for further use.

Candidates must have secured at least 75 per cent marks in the Class 12 examination or are in the top 20 percentile in the examination conducted by respective boards to be eligible to apply for the exam. In the case of SC, ST candidates, they must have scored 65 per cent in class 12. NTA has disabled the result mode field for Tamil Nadu state board candidates and the associated fields for marks / CGPA will be made invisible.
