Rohit and Ritika dated each other for a long time before tying the knot in 2015. They were blessed with a baby girl three years after their marriage.

In the caption of her special anniversary post, Ritika wrote, “To the boy who changed my life from the day he walked into it. Thank you for being my best friend, my comedian, my favourite human and my home. Life with you is nothing short of magical. Love you, Rohit Sharma.”

Soon after the Instagram post surfaced on the internet, fans rallied to the comment section, extending their heartfelt wishes to Rohit Sharma and Ritika Sajdej on their special day. Rohit’s Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians commented, “Happy Anniversary to our favourite couple.”

Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal’s wife Dhanashree Verma showed her love for the couple. Rohit’s teammate Suryakumar Yadav also reacted to the post with a red heart emoji. Veteran cricketer Ajinkya Rahane’s spouse Radhika shared a heartfelt wish for the couple as well. Among others, Bollywood actress and Chak De India-fame Sagarika Ghatge Khan marked her reaction in the comment box.

Rohit Sharma has stayed out of cricket since Team India’s heartbreaking defeat in the final of the ICC ODI World Cup at the hands of Australia last month. Under Rohit’s captaincy, the Men in Blue put up a dominant performance in the home campaign but could not overcome the ultimate hurdle.

Despite losing the title by a margin, Rohit showcased his big-hitting prowess and finished the tournament as the second-highest run-scorer following his teammate, Virat Kohli. In his 11 appearances, Rohit aggregated a total of 597 runs including three quickfire half-centuries and a hundred.

After the World Cup, Rohit sat out of a five-match T20I series against Australia at home. The India skipper has also sought rest from the white-ball leg of the ongoing South Africa tour. Rohit will be next seen in action in the upcoming two-match Test series against the Proteas, beginning on December 26.
