Vadodara: In more trouble for the Congress, the party candidate from Vadodara has denied contesting against Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi from Vadodara. Narendra Rawat, who has been fielded by the Congress to take on Modi, has asked the AICC to find a suitable candidate who can take on the Gujarat Chief Minister.
"I was declared the Congress candidate, I have requested the high command to change the candidate and requested that Congress may declare the stronger candidate from Vadodara," Rawat said.
"I feel that party should take the decision, I requested Sonia Gandhi to take the decision on Vadodara candidate," he added.
Rawat had emerged as the party candiadte from Vadodara in the primary that was held by the Congress party to choose its candidate.
