New Delhi: The Congress on Monday lashed out at Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal for releasing a list of 'corrupt' politicians. "This is nothing but a khap panchayat by AAP. They give clean chit to themselves and level baseless allegations against senior politicians. They must fulfil promises made to public rather than doing these things," said Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari.
The Congress leader added, "We can't remote control the AAP government, we gave it the support as we didn't want the burden of repoll on the people."
The Bharatiya Janata Party had too attacked the Delhi Chief Minister for levelling corruption allegations against its leaders. Party leaders Ananth Kumar and Nitin Gadkari had sent a legal notice to the AAP leader after he named them in the list of corrupt politicians.
The other leaders who criticised Kejriwal's controversial remarks are Union Minister Kapil Sibal, National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah and Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi.
