New Delhi: In the election year, when no party misses a chance to hit out at another, the Samajwadi party has also come out with a slogan to counter the Bharatiya Janata Party's 'Har Har Modi, Ghar Ghar Modi'.
The new slogan of the SP is 'Thar Thar Modi', 'Darr Darr Modi (trembling Modi, afraid Modi)' and 'Sita Maiya roo rahi hai BJP ke naam pe, saara paisa kha gaye mere pati ke naam pe (goddess Sita is crying because of BJP as they have looted all the money in the name of her husband)'.
The BJP has already earned the ire of the Hindu religious leaders because of the slogan and Shankaracharya of Dwarka Peeth, Swaroopanand Saraswati, registered a strong protest with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
The BJP claimed that the slogan was coined by the enthusiastic party workers and the party does not endorse it.
The BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will be contesting from Varanasi which is the abode of Lord Vishwanath.
