New Delhi: A day after President Pranab Mukherjee spelt out the roadmap of Narendra Modi's government, both houses of Parliament will hold a discussion on the motion of thanks on the President's address on Tuesday.

The discussion on behalf of the government in Lok Sabha will be initiated by Rajiv Pratap Rudy and seconded by Minister Ram Vilas Paswan. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will intervene in the discussion. In Rajya Sabha, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will intervene in the discussion.

Pranab Mukherjee gave an address to both houses of Parliament on Monday in which he enunciated reforms promised by the NDA government. While the ruling party hailed the address, the opposition parties described it as "high on rhetoric" with no substance.
