Goa government spent 23 crore rupees on junkets between 2012-2016: Sources

The Goa government spent 23 crore on travel marts, roadshows across the world. CNN-IBN accessed exclusive details of the money spent by the Goan government between 2012 and 2016.

Roadshows were held in Budapest, Prague, Lisbon, Vilnius, Helsinki and Seoul. Congress hit out by saying that it is waste of money as tourists don't come from these places refusitng claims of BJP that it was taken to promote tourism.

The Goa health minister and water department official too went on tourism junket.

BJP, however, defended the spend on road shows claiming that it was undertaken to promote tourism.
