The state government has launched 10 such pharmacies in Chennai and 90 in the rest of the state.
Chennai: Brand Amma has attached itself to another business with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa launching Amma pharmacies on Thursday. This comes after Amma canteens, Amma water and Amma salt.
The state government has launched 10 such pharmacies in Chennai and 90 in the rest of the state. These pharmacies will sell medicines at a subsided rate to the public.
The government has allotted Rs 20 crore for this venture.
Jayalalithaa's canteens are already a big hit in the state and is quite popular amongst the poor masses.
