Narendra Modi wishes 'happy birthday', Rahul Gandhi says 'thank you'
Amid the political attacks and counter attacks between the Congress and the BJP over Lalit Modi controversy, PM Narendra Modi on Friday took to Twitter to wish a happy birthday to Rahul Gandhi.

Amid the political attacks and counter attacks between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over Lalit Modi controversy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday took to Twitter to wish a happy birthday to Rahul Gandhi.

The Congress vice president, who turned 45 on Friday, was also quick enough to respond to the wishes from the Prime Minister. Rahul Gandhi tweeted back to PM Modi, thanking him for the "best wishes".

Meanwhile, there were also reports of celebrations at the Congress headquarters at Akbar Road in the national capital.

The exchange of pleasantries between the two leaders comes amid a scathing attack by the Congress over former Indian Premier League (IPL) commissioner Lalit Modi visa row controversy involving External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.

Hitting out at the Prime Minister, the Gandhi scion had said that the issue was not about the role of Swaraj in the case. Talking to mediapersons, Rahul Gandhi had said that it was just one person in the government, Narendra Modi, who took all the decisions, in a bid to put the blame of Swaraj's act on the Prime Minister.

What's your reaction?
