New Delhi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Monday will visit Bhubaneswar. Rahul, who is on a two-day visit to Odisha, had on Sunday criticised the ruling Naveen Patnaik led government in the state while addressing a public meeting.
Rahul said that the Centre allocates funds to the state for development, however, that fund is being diverted to other uses.
"Odisha says Centre doesn't send money for the state. But no government has allotted as much money as we did to Odisha in five years," he said.
His visit comes just two days ahead of BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's visit to the state.
Rahul's rallies come in the wake of forthcoming Assembly elections in the state. If panchayat elections and local body polls are anything to go by, Congress is unlikely to make any drastic change in its performance in the elections.
Congress was in power in the state back in 2000.
