35. Sikar is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Rajasthan and is part of Sikar Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Sikar falls in Sikar district and North region of Rajasthan. It is categorised as a urban seat.
There are a total of 2,60,143 voters in the seat, which includes 1,36,860 male voters, and 1,23,283 female voters. In the 2018 Rajasthan elections, Sikar recorded a voter turnout of 72.15%. In 2013 the turnout was 75.29%, and in 2008 it was 64.1%.
In 2013, Ratan Lal Jaldhari of BJP won the seat by a margin of 13,015 votes (8.13%). Ratan Lal Jaldhari secured 37.24% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 7,766 votes (6.43%), registering 38.87% of the total votes polled.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP led in the Sikar Assembly segment of the Sikar Parliamentary/Lok Sabha constituency.
