New Delhi: With stalemate continuing between BJP and TDP over seat sharing in Andhra Pradesh, the state units of BJP in Telangana and Seemandhra on Monday sought the central leadership's intervention to take a final decision on the prolonged crisis.

Both the state units appear to be preparing to go it alone in the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in the event of TDP not agreeing for a reasonable deal, sources said, claiming that the BJP has demanded six Lok Sabha and 25 Assembly seats in Seemamndhra region.

"If the reasonable arrangement is not there with any other party, BJP will fight all the seats in our state, both for Parliament and Assembly," BJP Seemandhra unit chief K Haribabu told reporters, after meeting party president Rajnath Singh.

Telangana BJP chief Kishan Kumar was also present in the meeting, where other senior leaders like Venkaiah Naidu and Prakash Javdekar also participated.

Admitting that talks between the two parties has hit a roadblock at the state level, he claimed that a clear picture would emerge by tomorrow evening. "Our national president assured us that the issue would be discussed and settled by tomorrow evening," Haribabu said.

Asked whether the party has set another ultimatum for TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu to respond, he clarified that the question of responding within the "time frame" does not arise.

"Discussions will go on from today evening to tomorrow evening. I think any time some understanding may come and if there is no understanding, we will have our own plan of action," he said.

Naidu had on Sunday indicated that the BJP will contest upcoming polls on its own if TDP fails to spell out its stand within 24 hours.
