Mumbai: The Shiv Sena has opposed the fuel hike. The party has also dared Trinamool Congress chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to pull out of the UPA, and not just make empty threats.
"Mamata Banerjee keeps threatening the UPA government. But now is the time for her to show what she can do," Shiv Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackeray said.
He also asked Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar, and Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav to withdraw support from the UPA government.
"Till when we will tolerate the heat of fuel price rise?" he asked.
Uddhav also exuded confidence that the Congress-led government will now be dethroned by the people.
