New Delhi: Apple has decided to say its final goodbye to the Thunderbolt display which has not been updated in five years.
The tech giant announced that the old displays will be sold via the official website at $1000 till supplies last, after which the hardware will no longer be available.
The 27-inch Thunderbolt display only has 2560 X 1140 resolution which pales in comparison to the Apple's new 5K Macs and has also been criticised for being over-priced.
Apple has not announced any replacement for the Thunderbolt display and is re-directing interested Mac users to third-party options in case they need a stand-alone monitor.
