New Delhi: Asus launched its latest ZenFone Max smartphone that doubles as a powerbank at Rs 9,999 today in India.

The phone features a 5.5-inch IPS display with the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 4 atop for scratch-resistance, strength and everyday durability. At its heart is a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with up to 2 GB of RAM.

The highlight of the phone is its 5000 mAh battery that also doubles as a power bank, which means one could use the phone to charge other devices. Asus claims that the mammoth battery can offer up to 37.6 hours of 3G talktime.

The phone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Asus ZenUI. It comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera with a wide f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera also boasts laser auto-focus. This dual SIM smartphone supports SIM cards with 4G capability.

It comes with 16 GB internal storage and its memory can be further expanded using a microSD card of up to 64 GB. It is available in White and Black colour choices.

The Asus ZenFone Max is Flipkart exclusive and now up for pre-order.
