New Delhi: Xiaomi has rolled out its latest Mi TV 2 with 40" full HD LED display and Internet connectivity. The TV is the smaller variant of the 49-inch Mi TV 2 released last year.
The smart TV is both an entertainment system and an Android game console. The TV measures 14.5mm at its thinnest. It supports all video formats with H.265 10-bit hardware video decoding and its Dolby MS12 offers surround sound.
The Android 4.4 Kitkat-based smart TV has a 1.45GHz MStar 6A908 processor and costs RMB 1999 (roughly $320; Rs 20,000).
On its official Twitter page, Xiaomi announced that it is investing $1 billion and partnering with several China content providers to build a massive entertainment library.
Release of the new Mi TV coincides with the roll out of its Mi Pad tablet and Redmi 2 smartphone in India via e-commerce site Flipkart.
