After grabbing over 72 million Jio Prime subscribers within just a month, Reliance Jio have extended the Prime membership deadline to April 15. Apart from the 15 days breather, the company also announced another ‘Summer Surprise’ offer for existing Prime users. This makes it the third free 4G data, voice and SMS offer made by Jio after the Welcome offer and Happy New Year offer.
“This is the largest migration from free to paid services in history in such a short period of time. Considering the unprecedented demand for enrolling to JIO PRIME and doing the first recharge, Jio has extended the deadline for purchasing Jio’s Rs 303 (and other) plans till April 15,” said the company in a release. What is the Jio Summer Surprise offer?
The Summer Surprise offer is only valid for Jio Prime subscribers. To get this offer, Jio Prime members will have to make their first recharge before April 15. The minimum recharge amount is Rs 303. Subscribers can also opt for any higher value plan as well. On doing so, subscribers will get services for the initial 3 months for free. The paid tariff plan will be applied only in July, after the expiry of the complimentary service. “The Jio Summer Surprise is the first of many surprises for JIO Prime members,” said Jio. What will happen if you don’t opt for the Jio Summer Surprise offer?
Reliance Jio free 4G data, voice and SMS service will end on April 15. If Jio Prime users do not opt for the Summer Surprise offer, they will have to opt for a Jio Prime plan which starts from Rs 149. For non-prime users, the service might deteriorate and ultimately cease.
To get the best out of Reliance Jio, users should ideally migrate to Jio Prime (one-time fee of Rs 99) and opt for a minimum plan of Rs 303 before April 15.

If 1GB free data daily on 4G speeds is not good enough you can opt for the Rs 499 Jio Prime plan which offers a daily FUP on 4G speeds of 2GB for 28 days. To get rid of the FUP altogether, users can opt for the Rs 999 Jio Prime Plan, which offers 60GB 4G data with 60 days validity without any FUP.

You might be thinking of not opting for the Rs 99 Jio Prime membership and committing at least Rs 303 monthly and prefer to be on the Non-Prime plan. For mobile internet users, Jio Prime plans offer at least double the data (in terms of GB) when compared to Non-Prime Jio plans. How to be a Jio Prime member?
