New Delhi: There have been several rumours around the new (2015) Nexus 5, which is reportedly being manufactured by LG in association with Google. And now a new leak has surfaced detailing the key specs that the rumoured Nexus 5 could come with.
The leaked image that reportedly has been discovered on China's Weibo micro-blogging site claims that the new Nexus 5 will feature a 5.2-inch display with 2K resolution, 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM, and a Snapdragon 808 processor.
If the leaked image is believed to be true, the rear camera on the rumoured LG-made Nexus 5 (2015) will have a 13-megapixel Sony-made IMX278 sensor with optical image stabilisation. While the leaked image doesn't have any information about the front-facing camera, speculations are rife that it would come with a 5 megapixel sensor at the front.
A number of reports have claimed that Google is planning to launch two Nexus handsets this year. While LG is said to be working on a new version of the Nexus 5, Huawei, reportedly, is manufacturing a (2015) Nexus 6 for Google. It is reported that the camera on the Nexus 5 (2015) will outperform the one on the Huawei-made Nexus smartphone.
The new leaked details suggest the new Nexus 5 may not come with top-of-the-line specs, which means that the phone might not have a price as high as the Motorola-made Nexus 6 (2014). It seems that Google is not going to repeat its Nexus 6 pricing mistake and is going to make the (2015) Nexus 5 available at a competitive price.
There is no information as to when the company plans to release the new Nexus phones, but we expect them to be released by October - the time when the new Nexus devices are usually unveiled.
