Star Plus’ upcoming show Aankh Micholi has been generating excitement among viewers with its intriguing promos, promising a fresh and entertaining storyline. Produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions, the series is eagerly awaited as it serves as a sequel to the immensely popular Diya Aur Baati Hum, starring Deepika Singh and Anas Rashid. While Navneet Malik and Khushi Dubey are set to play the new leads of the show, a recent report suggests that Sheezan Khan has been roped in to replace Ashish Dixit.
According to reports from India Forums, sources closely linked to the production revealed that Sheezan Khan, recognised for his role in Colors TV’s Chand Jalne Laga, has joined the cast as the parallel lead in the show. Sources disclosed, “Ashish Dixit was earlier roped in to play the character, however, Sheezan was later finalised for the role.”
Earlier reports indicated that Ashish decided not to be a part of the show due to a difference between the initial brief given to him and the actual storyline portrayed in the promos.
Recently, the show’s creators released the promo on Star Plus’ Instagram handle. The teaser features Rukmini (Played by Khushi Dubey) bravely taking on goons as an undercover cop. Simultaneously, Rukmini faces familial pressure to get married to Sumit (Played by Navneet Malik), which conflicts with her aspirations to become a renowned officer. The show promises an intriguing Saas-Bahu story filled with twists, as viewers eagerly anticipate Rukmini’s journey and whether a marriage will compromise her dreams or not. The much-anticipated show is set to premiere on television starting January 22.
