Ranbir Kapoor’s alpha-male character in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal left his fans across the nation in complete awe of his impeccable talent. Ranbir’s performance combined with Sabndeep Reddy Vanga’s vision turned out to be a huge success. As a consequence, Animal emerged as the third highest-grossing Indian film of 2023. But, what if the picture was headlined by Shah Rukh Khan instead of Ranbir Kapoor?
An Instagram user recently used AI tools to reimagine Shah Rukh Khan as Ranvijay Singh, played by Ranbir Kapoor in the film. He dropped the trailer of the film reimagining the Dunki actor as the protagonist and captioned the same with an intriguing write-up that read, “Rahul, naam toh sunai de raha hai behera nahi hun mein! Would you want to cast SRK in Animal? Who else if not Ranbir? Comments mein batao. Exploring possibilities with AI.”

Since being posted online, the video has garnered contrasting responses from fans. While a section of Internet users embraced the idea of their favourite stars in unexpected roles, others chose to disagree as they believed that the Jawan actor would not have been suitable for the role.
One of the cinema enthusiasts expressed, “He is not suitable for this role. Though I hate the animal movie. But Ranbir just did his best.” Another believed, “I love SRK but no one can replace Ranbir Kapoor in Animal.” “Oh what a creative man, Shahrukh and Vanga Reddy should see this and definitely think about this,” said a user who was seemingly impressed to watch the trailer.
Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal released in theatres on December 1 last year. Besides Ranbir Kapoor, the film’s star cast includes Rashmika Mandanna, Tripti Dimri, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol in key roles. Upon its release, the film was caught up in controversy for promoting a misogynistic approach and violence. Shah Rukh Khan, on the other hand, was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. Co-starring Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani, the film failed to impress the audience.
