Heavy rains lashed the national capital on Wednesday, leading to waterlogged roads, traffic woes, flooded homes and other struggles for Delhiites. Other areas of the NCR have also experienced thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds. While this brings much-needed relief from the humidity, the heavy spells have dragged the city to a standstill, prompting flight diversions, traffic delays, and the closure of schools and several business establishments. Amid the city’s struggles with incessant rains and heavy congestion, many have taken to social media to share videos of waterlogging and traffic snarls.
A user, while sharing a clip from South Delhi to Ring Road, shared how a few minutes of downpour caused a major traffic blockage.

Another shared a dramatic video from Delhi’s Karol Bagh showing rainwater entering premises while people try to take the shed. “Just 20 mins of rain in Delhi today and look how Karol bagh is already screwed,” the caption read.
