Florida Woman Loses 15 Kg By Eating Fatty Fish For 3 Months

Did you know that eating fish has many health benefits? It may surprise you, but you can also shed a few kilos by incorporating fish into your diet. Experts believe that the best way to get the maximum nutrients out of it is by grilling or baking it. This does not mean that one must just eat only fish and nothing else. A balanced diet is one of the keys to weight loss. A Florida-based woman has claimed that she has lost about 15 kilos in just three months by eating only fish. Reportedly, Jane Crummett, a 62-year-old woman from Florida, recently retired. She weighed about 240 pounds (109 kg) a few months ago. Her excessive weight made it difficult for her to walk and hence, she consulted a doctor, who restricted her diet, but it barely brought much change. She said that her legs used to hurt and were swollen. She would also become hungry and eat whatever she could find.

Jane Crummett was almost on the verge of giving up when she chanced upon a dietician, Dr Annette Bosworth who suggested to her a helpful weight-loss method that brought a drastic change in Jane’s life. Her doctor advised her to eat fish fast which included eating only sardines for three months. She claimed that it would result in weight loss. The 62-year-old was amazed after she learned the benefits of the diet. As per her dietician, sardines are easily digestible, help burn body fat quickly and convert into energy.

Soon, the retired woman adopted the fish fast and consumed about four cans of sardines each day, giving her 1,500 calories daily. She weighed herself every day and only after two weeks of following the diet strictly, did she notice significant changes and lost 12 pounds (approx 5 kg). Within three months, she lost 15 kilos.

In the US, doctors often recommend their patients to eat sardines or include these in their diet as they are rich in boosting omega-3 fatty acids, proteins, vitamin D and calcium. At the same time, it is low in calories.
