Actress Aditi Rao Hydari’s Gaja Gamini walk from director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar has taken the internet by storm. Fans from around the world have been recreating the steps on social media. Adding to this, a new video has emerged online depicting a male belly dancer recreating Aditi’s viral walk which has left the audience amazed.
In the viral clip, the dancer could be seen donning traditional Egyptian attire, particularly worn by professional belly dancers and performing the Gaja Gamini walk on the track Saiyaan Hato Jao from Heeramandi.
His incredible dance moves, especially his smooth waist movements have left the audience impressed, promoting several reactions from the users. An Instagram user commented, “Flowing like a water buddy.” Another mentioned, “Beyond magical.” One of the users wrote, “Wooooo Amazingg.”
A person quipped that Bhansali missed this man during the casting of the series. “Where was SLB at the time of casting Heeramandi didn’t he see this miracle,” the comment read. A user wrote, “Hell lot of hard work and dedication.”

Recently, Aditi herself recreated the Gaja Gamini walk at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2024. Taking to her Instagram stories, the actress dropped a video in which she could be seen along with her team, holding an umbrella and doing the viral walk on the streets of Cannes. The actress captioned the clip, “loreal paris india, Cannes2024 Walking into Cannes like.”
Actor Rajkummar Rao also joined the bandwagon and gave a hilarious twist to Aditi’s viral walk in Heeramandi which left the audience in splits. Taking to Instagram, actress Janhvi Kapoor dropped a video of her Mr and Mrs Mahi co-star, in which Rajkummar was seen humorously imitating the Gaja Gamini walk.
Janhvi captioned the post, “Our very own Gaja Gamini walk took a minute to get used to all those cricket pads but glad I could amuse u Mr. Mahi.”
