In the age of convenience, where ordering food is as easy as tapping a few clicks on your smartphone, lies hidden risks. These risks include mishaps like receiving the wrong order or contaminated food and so on. Recently, social media was abuzz with a man’s outcry who received an empty sealed glass instead of the lime soda he had eagerly anticipated.
An X (formerly Twitter) user named Aaraynsh shared a picture showing an empty sealed plastic container. Accompanying the photo was a caption dripping with sarcasm that read, “Thanks, Swiggy, for sending me a sealed empty glass. I hope my lime soda will come in another order.” See the viral post here:

In a swift response, Swiggy’s assistant handle replied with, “Hi Aaraynsh! That seems odd, can you help us with your order ID? We’ll look into this.” Unfazed by the inquiry, Aarayansh once again struck with his trademark sarcasm, stating, “Thanks, resolved now, received a refund of ₹80 for soda worth ₹120.”

Aaraynsh’s post has caused quite a stir since being posted online. It has received over 2 lakh views. But not just the views, the comment section is buzzing with varied reactions from social media users. One user humorously quipped, “It is after deducting GST, IncomeTax, still there is something left TDS is applicable.”
Another sarcastically added, “The image may differ from the actual product due to limitations of viewing images at different resolutions, hue, brightness, contrast, and other screen variations.” “They assumed you have water, lime, soda, salt and sugar at home. The glass was the actual problem. So they sent you the glass!” read one hilarious comment.
The streak of humour continued with comments like “This lime soda was made in Hogwarts” and “Actually there is soda in it, but we are just not able to see it as it is invisible!”
Many users found a humourous parallel with the scorching heat. One remarked, “The humidity is so intense that it feels like your ordered lime soda is evaporated before your order got delivered or before you can even take a sip!” while another joked, “Garmi mai evaporate ho gaya (Must have been evaporated in the heat).”
Amidst the laughter, one user shared, “Swiggy doesn’t prepare you lime soda it just delivers it to you and sometimes it’s the restaurant’s fault because of poor packaging and sometimes it’s the rider’s reckless driving which causes this spillage which is quite common in food deliveries, take a chill pill and order another one.”
