Railway Ministry Urges Passengers Not To Sit At Train Door With ‘Casual Hai’ Meme
The Railway Ministry used the viral "casual hai" dialogue of Vijender Chauhan.

The world of social media saw the emergence of several meme materials throughout the year 2023. Some of them still rank among the trendy topics, even though we have already rang in the new year. Over the last two months of 2023, social media platforms got flooded with hilarious content featuring a dialogue of renowned IAS interviewer Vijender Chauhan– “Entry acchi hai bas baithne ka tareeka thoda casual hai”. He used the phrase during a mock interview of a UPSC aspirant. After the video surfaced on the internet, it caught the attention of several meme creators and became an instant hit.

The widely viral phrase has now been used by the Railway Ministry of India, which often drops engaging posts to share information about the latest developments as well as raise awareness about rail safety. This time, the railway department has taken a dig at passengers, who often sit at the door of a train. While this is quite a common scene across local routes, people were also seen blocking the doors of long-distance trains. This sort of behaviour certainly causes trouble to other passengers.

Sharing the sarcastic post on X (formerly Twitter), the Railway Ministry wrote, “’Be a responsible rail yatri and do not travel while sitting at the door.” The post accompanied a photograph where a couple of passengers could be seen occupying the door of an express train. A highlighted text on the picture reads, “Train me Baithne Ka Tarika Bada Kazual Hai.”

The reference to the viral phrase certainly left many in splits as the comment section of the X post was flooded with numerous laughing emojis. Some people also shared their grievances about the Indian Railways, shedding light on several persistent issues.

A user feels people will stop sitting at the doors if the number of general coaches in trains increases.

Another found the term “Kazual” quite funny.

“Focus on creating trains and facilities so that the common man does not have to overcrowd the trains. No one travels like this for fun, it’s almost always because they have no choice,” commented an individual.

Since being shared on the micro blogging platform, the humorous post has received more than 4,70,000 views, while accumulating over 1,500 likes.
