South Indian dish, Dosa holds a special place in everyone’s hearts. It is considered as one of the best breakfast options around the globe due to its crispy texture and nutritional value. It is best enjoyed piping hot with sambar and coconut chutney. Made from Rice batter, Dosa is also available in different varieties like Masala Dosa, Onion Dosa, Plain Dosa, Mysore Dosa or Rava Dosa. People tend to experiment with this iconic dish way too often but now a group of 75 chefs have gone a step ahead setting a new world record of making the world’s longest Dosa.
MTR Foods, on the occasion of their 100th anniversary, along with Lorman Kitchen Equipments prepared a 123.03 feet dosa setting a new Guinness World Record. A team of 75 chefs headed by Chef Regi Matthews set up the new world record at MTR’s factory in Bengaluru on March 15.
Taking to Instagram, Chef Regi Mathews made the announcement with a special video and captioned it, “I’m thrilled to announce a historic milestone at MTR! Proudly celebrating the 100th anniversary with a Guinness World Records title for the longest dosa, measuring an incredible 123.03 feet!”

He further thanked everyone who helped him setting up the world record of world’s longest dosa. Soon after he shared the post, several users swamped down the comments section and shared congratulatory messages to the Chef and his team for clinching the world record.

As per reports, the making of this dish involved experts and culinary school staff who prepared the 123.03 ft long dosa after 110 failed attempts.
The video has gathered 24,000 views and around 1,000 likes on Instagram since the time it was uploaded on the platform.
The previous world record title of world’s longest dosa was 16.68 m (54ft).
