In the clip, Saurabh Netravalkar can be seen crooning to the hit Marathi track Mann Udhan Varyache.

Saurabh Netravalkar became an overnight sensation after he helped the USA cricket team notch a historic win over Pakistan in a T20 World Cup match on May 6. A team that is featuring in their first-ever major ICC event, showcased tremendous fighting spirit against the Asian giants. After both sides produced 159 runs in the designated 20 overs, the winner was decided via Super Over. After the USA set a target of 19 runs off six balls, Saurabh was bestowed the responsibility to defend it. The India-born pacer held his nerve and conceded a single boundary in the Super Over to secure a five-run win.

Cricket, however, is not the only thing that interests Saurabh Netravalkar. After his match-winning performance against Pakistan, a video of the USA speedster playing the ukulele and singing a popular Marathi song by Shankar Mahadevan– Mann Udhan Varyache — has surfaced online. Saurabh Netravalkar posted the face-cam video on Instagram last month ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup.

“Winding down strumming on our rest day! This song is a great life lesson on the nature of the ever-wandering human mind! Mann Udhan Varyache sung by Shankar Mahadevan sir! What a gem of a song!” the 32-year-old fast-bowler wrote in the caption.

Now, the clip has started gaining attention after the cricketer’s Super Over heroics against Pakistan. Fans have highlighted his connection with the country and its culture.

Appreciating the bowler’s musical talent, a fan commented, “You are not only hitting the right length and swings but also these beautiful notes of our lovely Marathi songs.”

A user was quick to brand Saurabh Netravalkar as a “multi-talented guy.”

“Bro casually sings, works as an engineer full time and owns Pakistan for a hobby,” quipped another fan.

For the unversed, Saurabh Netravalkar kicked off his cricket career in India and represented the country in the U-19 circuit. The Mumbai-born pacer later travelled to the USA seeking better opportunities. Besides pursuing his cricket dream, Saurabh also works as a senior software engineer.
