Public Display of Affection (PDA) is a debated topic in India. Though resistance towards PDA has reduced over time, the general sentiment is still against it. Now, a video from Odisha that shows a man and a woman cuddling up on a state-run bus is doing the rounds on the internet.
The clip has drawn flak from users and most demanded action against the duo.
According to the video, the couple seated on the last seat of the bus engages in PDA as an elderly woman seated next to them tries to look away. Several passengers also pass comments but the couple continues cozying up, but they remain unaffected.
The clip was initially claimed to be from Delhi, but some users quickly pointed out that it was a Mo Bus, run by the mass transportation system in Odisha, called Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT).
Seeking action, a user tagged the Delhi Police and wrote, “Please take very strict action against this kind of couples.” Some users also urged others not to share the video without concealing the identity of the women in the video.
However, the authenticity of the video could not be verified.
Recently, an X user shared a video that showed a couple standing in an embrace inside the metro. The faces of the couple are hidden. The X user tagged the official account of the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited and Bengaluru City Police and wrote, “Hey what is happening in Namma metro? Slowly Bangalore metro is turning into Delhi metro. Take some action on them. The girl was literally kissing the boy.”
