Woman Buys Caravan For Rs 50,000 And Renovates It Into A Home

A woman named Hayley Rubery is having the best time of her life in her dream home, i.e., a damp caravan that no one wants to buy. Hayley has shared more about this incident on Instagram and revealed that she brought a rugged caravan from the Facebook marketplace nine weeks ago.

She purchased this house for £500 (Rs 51,640) and used the same amount for renovating the vehicle. She has named this caravan Joyce. According to Hayley, she was quoted an expensive price (Rs 5,372) for getting a gas stove coated, so she decided to paint it with some gloss white heat-resistant paint.

By painting the stove herself, she managed to save Rs 4,442 as the original price of the tin of paint was Rs 929. Hayley didn’t stop at this and changed the texture of the pan as well. As revealed in the Instagram post, she has said that some more painting will be done this week, i.e.- styling the bathroom door. A couple of small kitchen jobs are also remaining, including replacing the plug socket and working on the interiors. She also humorously compared the condition of the caravan to the people attending the Zoom calls. According to her, when people are about to take Zoom calls, they put up a smart shirt, makeup, and pants as well. Hayley wrote that her caravan is in a similar condition as she looks pretty on one side and ugly on the other.

As of now, she has completed the following works in the caravan-

1. more painting of the bathroom area/door (have a cool idea for this!)

2. stuck the kitchen tiles are on.

3. She has also started recreating an item for the caravan but has not disclosed about it.

4. She has removed the old kitchen tap and put up a railing around the kitchen as well.

5. Hayley has also purchased some more furnishing-related materials.
