Indian citizens who are eligible for the 14-day pre-approved visa-on-arrival in Dubai will first need to apply for the service online. Indian passport holders who have a valid six-month US, US Green Card, EU Residency, or UK Residency visa have been given exclusive access to this service.
The visa can also be extended for 14 additional days but that can only be done once. The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) said that passengers will have to present a valid passport, travel documents, a permanent residence card from the US or UK and their photograph to avail the service.
Here’s how those eligible can apply online for pre-approved visa-on-arrival:
- Log in to the GDRFA website
- Fill in your details
- Pay fees (approx. Dirham 253)
The visa process is typically completed within 48 hours, and applicants will receive an email notification once their visa is approved.
Air carrier Emirates also announced an exclusive partnership with VFS Global to introduce a pre-approved visa on arrival service for Indian passport holders travelling with the airline. This new initiative which was also facilitated by the Dubai Visa Processing Centre (DVPC), which offers the 14-day single entry visa, will allow Emirates customers to bypass queues upon arrival in Dubai.
