Indian Railways are all set to offer golden opportunities for all devotees of Lord Shiva to visit several pilgrimage sites across various parts of the country. This train will pass through various places like Dwarka, Hajipur, Buxar, etc. Passengers can board this train and visit the Jyotirlingas which are located in different parts of the country at an affordable cost.
The Indian Railways will run a special Bharat Gaurav train under the Dekho Apna Desh initiative. This train will take people to various pilgrimage sites at a very affordable price. The train will continue its journey for ten nights and eleven days, visiting parts of the country. Adding to it, the Indian Railways has decided to offer a discount of 33 per cent to promote railway tourism.
Commenting on the initiative, Rajesh Kumar, Joint General Manager of IRCTC (Regional Office) Patna, mentioned that the special train will start from Bettiah railway station on July 9. The train will stop at various places like Sagauli Junction, Raxaul Junction, Sitamarhi Junction, Darbhanga Junction, Samastipur Junction, Muzaffarpur Junction, Hajipur Junction, Patliputra Junction, Ara Junction, Buxar and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction. Pilgrims can board the train from any of these junctions. Covering all the pilgrimage sites the train will return to its source station on July 19.
Pilgrimage sites to visit:
1. Ujjain (Shree Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga and Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga)
2. Dwarka (Shri Nageshwar Jyotirlinga and Shri Dwarkadhish Temple)
3. Somnath (Shree Somnath Jyotirlinga)
4. Shirdi (Sai Baba Temple)
5. Nashik (Shri Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga and Shani Dev Mandir)
Facilities to be Provided:
- The train will have two classes. The fare for the sleeper class is Rs 20,899 per person, while the AC three-tier will be Rs 35,795 per person.
- Accommodation will be provided in AC and non-AC hotels depending on the travel class.
- All the meals that will be provided will be vegetarian. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner will be provided along with morning and evening tea and two bottles of water daily.
- AC and non-AC buses will be provided for sightseeing based on travel class.
- Proper arrangements for Security guards, cleaners, and tour escorts will also be made by the Indian Railways.
