New Delhi: At the upcoming Auto Expo 2016, Mercedes-Benz will be showcasing among a host of luxury automobiles, the all-new GLC, S-Class cabriolet, and the Maybach S 600 Guard.
The new GLC is based on the C-Class platform and is bigger than the GLK-Class and looks identical to the sedan from the front. It features a twin-slat grille and a three-point star emblem on the centre. The LED daytime running lights and cabin layout too are similar to the C-Class.
The GLC is shorter by 30mm than the new C-Class in length but has a longer wheelbase. Enhancements include a gesture controlled touchpad to operate the infotainment screen, a 20-CD audio system and Artico leather upholstery. There are two engine options available- the 2.2-litre diesel in the GLC 220d and the 2.0-litre diesel in the 250d.
The Mercedes-Benz S-Class cabriolet has been designed with a three-layer soft-top that can be lowered at speeds of up to 60kmph in less than 20 seconds. The NVH levels, as Mercedes-Benz claims, are the lowest when it is driven topless.
Inside, the climate control system keeps the cabin temperature maintained irrespective of whether the roof is raised or lowered. The S500 cabriolet will be powered by a 4,663cc V8 that makes 455PS of power between 5,250 and 5,500rpm.
The Mercedes-Maybach S 600 Guard - the most exclusive product in the armoured luxury car segment in India- will come with a host of customisation options. The FIA World Championship-winning F1 W06 hybrid car will also be showcased at the auto exhibition.
The Auto Expo 2016 will be held from 5-9 February at Greater Noida.
