Royal Enfield Flags Off Himalayan Odyssey 2024: 122 Riders Set Off On 3050 Km Adventure
This year’s odyssey also features the new Royal Enfield Himalayan, with riders experiencing their bikes in the Himalayas for the first time.

Royal Enfield celebrated a major milestone today with the launch of the Himalayan Odyssey 2024 from Chandigarh.

Marking its 20th edition, this iconic ride symbolizes adventure, camaraderie, and the enduring human spirit.

For two decades, the Himalayan Odyssey has been a dream journey for motorcycle enthusiasts, offering a chance to explore the stunning landscapes of Ladakh.

In true tradition, this year’s flag-off was blessed by Buddhist lamas in a Ladakhi ceremony. A total of 122 riders from around the world, including the Czech Republic, the USA, Costa Rica, Israel, and Spain, are setting off on an 18-day adventure. Participants range from a 21-year-old to a 55-year-old female rider, each bringing their unique stories and dreams.

The 3050 km adventure is split into two teams: Team Zoji La and Team Zanskar. They will follow separate routes, one through Jammu & Kashmir and the other via Manali-Jispa, converging in Leh, Ladakh, before heading together to Umling La. This year’s ride features the Royal Enfield Himalayan, with new owners also joining the expedition.

New highlights include a visit to the Siachen Base Camp and the first-ever ‘Great Himalayan Adventure Festival’ in Leh from August 15 to 18. The festival will celebrate Royal Enfield’s commitment to adventure, exploration, and sustainability.

The Himalayan Odyssey continues to navigate some of the world’s toughest terrains while promoting responsible motorcycling. This year, riders will focus on reducing plastic waste in the Himalayas, aligning with Royal Enfield’s mission to ‘Leave Every Place Better.’
