Nimrat Kaur, an actress who has always marched to the beat of her own drum, continues to entertain audiences with her unique choice of projects, both in Bollywood and internationally. From offbeat films like The Lunchbox to popular hits like Airlift, Dasvi and Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video, she’s proven that she’s not one to be boxed into any category.
But it’s not just her work that has fans curious. In a 2016 throwback interview with IndiaTimes.com, Nimrat opened up about her views on marriage, a rare insight from the actress who’s usually private about her personal life.
When asked about her views on marriage, Nimrat shared, “I was asked why I don’t want to get married, just because I am not married yet. I was like, I don’t know how you got this in your head! It has got nothing to do with not wanting to do something, just because I am currently not married. Marriage is something, they’re a matter of providence and they happen at their own time, when you meet the right person. I don’t think these things can be orchestrated.”
Nimrat, who was last seen in Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video alongside Radhika Madan and Bhagyashree, is known for being meticulous about the roles she takes on. In a previous interview with Hindustan Times, she spoke about how the timing of her projects isn’t always in her control, especially with her international commitments. “I wish I could have chased my last Hindi project way quicker with a new project. But that’s something you can’t control, especially me, because I work abroad, too.”
After the success of Abhishek Bachchan starrer Dasvi and Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video, Nimrat is gearing up for her next project, Section 84, a courtroom drama starring the legendary Amitabh Bachchan and directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, best known for his work in Te3n. Fans are eagerly awaiting what she’ll bring to the screen next.
