Randeep Hooda Arrives For Ram Mandir Consecration Ceremony At Ayodhya With Wife Lin Laishram

On a momentous occasion for all devotees of Lord Ram, the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the deity will take place at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir on Monday, January 22. As such, renowned personalities from the film industry have reached Ayodhya to witness the inauguration of the Ram Mandir. Among them are Randeep Hooda, Vivek Oberoi and Sonu Nigam.

Randeep Hooda was seen in Ayodhya with his wife Lin Laishram. He looked handsome as he donned a colourful shawl with flowers printed on it. Meanwhile, Lin looked beautiful in a red saree worn over an embroidered shawl. She completed her look with statement jewellery and tied her hair in a neat bun.

They were earlier spotted at the Lucknow Airport where Randeep told the media, “We are very excited and looking forward to being present there and getting the blessings of Lord Ram. It is not just a religious event, it is also a cultural and heritage event.”

Vivek Oberoi also made an appearance at the inauguration ceremony today and said, “It’s magical, spectacular. I have seen so many images of it. But when you see it before your eyes, it seems that you are watching something magical.” He was joined by Sonu Nigam.

For the unversed, Pran Pratishtha is a popular ritual in Jainism and Hinduism, where the idol of a deity is installed at a sacred place like a temple, after sanctification. The word ‘Pran’ means life force and ‘Pratishtha’ means establishment. Pran Pratishtha or consecration ceremony means invoking the life force in the idol.

A total of 121 Acharyas will perform the rituals of Ram Mandir consecration. The idol’s Pran Pratistha will be done during the auspicious ‘Abhijeet Muhurta’ from 12.20 pm to 1 pm on January 22. According to the temple trust, over 7,000 people have been invited for this occasion where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest.
