RBI Governor is on his way to Mumbai to work out the details.
New Delhi: Finance Minister P Chidambaram said on Wednesday that interbank lending still remains a constrain and that the Government and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) have agreed on measures to address the problem.
"The Government and the RBI are agreed on the measures that have to be taken immediately," he told reporters.
"The Governor of the RBI is on the way to Mumbai and will work out the details of the measures agreed upon," he said.
Chidambaram said he expected to be able to make a statement on the issue again in the afternoon.
