New Delhi: The President of Microsoft's business division Jeff Raikes talked about the latest version of MS Office on Tuesday focusing on its growth into a tool that actually handles business processes rather than being a glorified typewriter.
One of their key products for years now, Office 2007 is one of the most important releases for Microsoft in the last ten years.
It should hit retail markets early next year.
A beta version of Office is already available for download on the Microsoft website.
Eighteen office based applications made for India were showcased as part of the Innovating for and with India theme.
Microsoft is talking about is the evolution of Office from a standalone product installed on PCs and used by PCs to write letters or do accounts to a product installed on networks, used by groups of people to get things done.
