New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday refused to offer relief to Harsh Vardhan Lodha, who had sought a stay on a Company Law Board interim order that barred him from chairing the Birla Corp annual general meeting (AGM).
The AGM was slated for Monday.
The Supreme Court also directed the Calcutta High Court to hear petition by Lodha and Birla camps on Tuesdya
Lodha had moved to the Calcutta High Court challenging the CLB interim order on the AGM of the Birla Corp, to which Harsh's father R S Lodha had staked claim to citing the purported 1999 will of Priyamvada Birla.
Some Birla family members have contested the Lodha family claim on Rs 5,000 crore M P Birla estate.
