How Much Money Did Music Director Anirudh Ravichander Receive For Thalapathy Vijay's Leo

Anirudh Ravichander is a rising music sensation, primarily known for his work in South Indian cinema. He is also the music composer for the pan-Indian film Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, directed by Atlee. This project marked his official debut in Bollywood. Following the film’s music review, his compositions garnered significant attention from movie enthusiasts. Recent reports indicate that he has now become one of the highest-paid musicians in India.

Recently, Anirudh Ravichander composed music for the film Leo. The movie, which was released on Thursday, is anticipated to establish a new record in Kollywood. Anirudh’s songs and background music in the film have received significant praise from the audience.

Fans have commended Anirudh’s compelling background music and specific scenes in the movie. Reports suggest that he received a remuneration of around Rs 8 crore for his work in Leo. This is considered the highest amount ever earned by a music composer in the Tamil film industry.

Anirudh has been officially roped in as the music composer for Rajinikanth’s 170th film and an upcoming Telugu project featuring Jr NTR. Additionally, he is currently working on more than 10 other films. Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, was released on October 19. The film features an ensemble cast including Thalapathy Vijay, Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Arjun, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan and Priya Anand. It is produced by SS Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy and features music by Anirudh Ravischander. Notably, Leo has collected over Rs 100 crore nett in India in two days.

Reports suggest that Anirudh Ravichander had earlier received a fee of Rs 10 crore for his work on the music of Jawan. It’s been noted that his compensation exceeds that of the Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman.

Anirudh has worked with top actors like Thalapathy Vijay, Ajith and Rajnikanth. He debuted as a music composer in the film 3, directed by his cousin Aishwarya R Dhanush. His first song, Why This Kolaveri Di, from the 2012 film 3, became a global sensation with over 424 million views on YouTube.
