Thalapathy Vijay's Leo Face Theatre Issues In Nilgiris District Leaving Fans Disappointed
Fans are expressing that high-budget movies are not being screened in their district.

Leo starring Thalapathy Vijay, Trisha Krishnan, and Sanjay Dutt, has made history by achieving the biggest worldwide opening day for any Tamil movie. Furthermore, the film has already surpassed the 100-crore mark in India. However, the hilly district of Nilgiris, where only two theatres exist, faces challenges in screening such big-budget films.

Despite eager anticipation from fans, Leo was unfortunately not screened in the Nilgiris district, specifically in Utkai, leading to significant disappointment. Fans have said that big-budget movies are not being screened in their district, prompting them to travel to Coimbatore to catch these films.

Fans received another surprising twist when Rohini Silver Screen, a theatre known for its strong fan base, announced that Leo would not be screened at their venue. People who eagerly arrived at the theatre for tickets were met with a sign that read, “Leo film is not being screened”. Rohini Theater, which has gained popularity over the years, has been a favourite location for fans, often hosting special screenings for teasers, trailers, and even songs.

In another setback, the Tamil Nadu government has refused permission for the 7 AM screening of the Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed film. This decision followed a request from the film’s makers to the High Court for an early morning show. In response, the Madras High Court directed the Tamil Nadu government to review the request for allowing five shows from 7 AM between October 19 and 24, instead of the originally proposed 9 AM start time.

According to early estimates, Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial has collected more than Rs 36 crores on its second day, as reported by Sacnilk.com. On the first day of its release, the film had already earned an impressive Rs 64.80 crores in India.

Leo is an action thriller that boasts an ensemble cast, including Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, and Priya Anand in significant roles. The script for the film was co-written by Rathna Kumar and Deeraj Vaidy alongside director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Anirudh Ravichander composed the music for the film, with cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa and editing by Philomin Raj.
