India’s lethal spin-trio of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav has been a massive talking point following their victory against England to clinch the five-match series at Ranchi and the former Indian captain sees the three having equally contributed with one not outshining the other.
Speaking to RevSportz, the former Indian skipper was asked to comment on his thoughts regarding the spin-trio and Ganguly gave massive praise to the three men.
Talking about Ashwin who had recently breached the 500 Test wickets milestone, Ganguly did not hold back on his praise, he said,” All-time great, all-time great offspring. 500 wickets is not a matter of joke.”

After the veteran spinner breached the 500 Test wicket barrier, he now sees himself among the great spinners of all time like Muttiah Muralitharan and Anil Kumble who also have gone past the milestone during their respective careers.
The former BCCI President also gave due credit to Ravindra Jadeja as well who has contributed with both bat and ball for a long time for the country and now finds himself as the top-ranked all-rounder in the longest format.
“Then you have Jadeja, the best all-rounder at the moment. Bat and ball in these conditions,” said Ganguly.
The former skipper also credited Kuldeep Yadav for his strong comeback after his tough period out of form earlier. Despite not being a first-choice spinner in the Test side, he has been able to make the most out of his opportunities and has delivered in the ongoing series against England.

The Director of Cricket for the Delhi Capitals mentioned,” I think Kuldeep has come back immensely. He’s improved immensely. And I think with bowlers like Ashwin and Jadeja, he’s not been underdone by them. He’s made a mark of his in the series and will go on to play for India for a long period.”
The Indian team will gear up for the final Test against England at Dharamsala and will look to get the win and rack up the points for the World Test Championship. Following this the players will look ahead to the Indian Premier League and then the T20 World Cup which is hosted by the West Indies and the United States of America.
